Custom Shower Tile Work in Progress - Clean Lines and Solid Craft

A good shower remodel lives or dies by the prep work and the details. That's what we always tell homeowners who ask why tile jobs from different contractors can look so different a few years down the road. The answer is almost never the tile itself - it's everything that happens before and between each piece gets set.

Here's where we're at on this one. The walls are done in large-format white tile, laid out with tight, consistent grout lines that give the whole space a clean, modern feel. Running across the upper section is a pebble stone accent band that ties directly into the shower floor - same stone, same earthy tones. That kind of intentional material connection is what separates a bathroom that looks designed from one that just looks finished.

The floor is full pebble mosaic, and it works hard on two levels. It adds natural texture and visual warmth against the crisp white walls, and the varied surface gives you grip underfoot - something smooth large-format tile on a shower floor simply can't do. We paired it with a linear drain running flush along the side wall. No bulky center drain to work around, and the whole floor pitches cleanly toward it.

There's also a built-in bench seat tiled right into the corner - not an afterthought, but part of how the space was planned from the start. Glass and the vanity are still coming, but the bones of this bathroom remodel are already telling the story.
