Here's what a bathroom addition looks like right in the middle of the build. The tile is set, the shower pan is in, and you can already see exactly where this thing is headed. That's the exciting part of this stage - the bones are there, and the finished product is starting to take shape.
We went with large-format porcelain wall tiles that have a marble-look finish - soft blue-grey tones with warm veining running through them. It's a high-end look without the maintenance headaches that come with actual natural stone. The gold trim detail on the corner gives it that clean, intentional edge that pulls the whole design together.
On the floor just outside the shower, we laid white hex tile. Simple, classic, and it works perfectly against the warmer tones inside the shower. That kind of contrast is what keeps a bathroom from feeling flat. Two different tile styles, one cohesive space.
This is the kind of work that takes patience. Getting large tiles to sit level and line up correctly on shower walls isn't something you rush. Every course has to be checked, every joint has to be consistent. Once the drywall work wraps up and the finishing touches go in, this bathroom addition is going to feel completely different from where it started.
Bathroom remodeling and tile installation are two of the things we do every day. Whether you're adding on to your home or updating a space that's been the same for too long, this is the kind of work we genuinely enjoy doing right.
